ROCK EARTH SYRAH

This is FHE’s flagship Syrah from the 2 hectare home vineyard positioned on the steep sandy/clay/ gravelly slopes above the Putiki estuary on Waiheke. Named after the very earth upon which it is planted this wine is rich, voluptuous, sweetly spiced and earthy. It will cellar well for minimum 15 years and is the result of this superb site and a meticulous passion for excellence. It is Luc’s nod to the great Syrah's of the Cote Rotie appellation of France where he first tasted “ the most silky and seductive Syrah's in the world”.
