BLOOD CREEK 8 2013
Notes: 100% Waiheke coastal single site “The 8 Vineyard". Cabernet blend of all 8 varieties grown at Frenchman’s Hill. Represents blends of bloody battles past. Symbolically drawing blood from those battles from this sacred place. Also, a nod to the great First Growth blends of Bordeaux where Luc studied. This wine is dedicated to my beloved uncle Alfred (Freddy) Desbonnets RIP.

Region: Waiheke Island, New Zealand
Accolades: 95/100 – Bob Campbell MW
“A blend of eight grape varieties. Dense, ripe and almost syrupy red with Christmas cake dried fruit and nut flavours plus dark chocolate, liquorice and spice oak. High acidity and firm, ripe tannins suggest good cellaring potential - the wine is still quite youthful. A complex red.” – Bob Campbell MW
